Leave Disney World and Universal Studios behind to spend the day at the Alligator Capital of the World! Be a trainer for the day at Gatorland, one of Central Florida's oldest attractions, providing a unique and natural alternative to Orlando's theme parks.
Catch a glimpse into what it takes to be able to work with and around dangerous animals. Your day starts with an introductory course, which includes safety procedures, handling exercises & basic behavioral animal training.
Then, it's time for a hands-on training session with one of our reptile experts. This up-close interaction includes a chance to learn all about crocodilians and an opportunity to test your skills at croc wrangling!
Your experience may range from moving large alligators and crocodiles to assisting a reptile trainer in daily activities. So be sure to prepared for the unexpected at Gatorland!
Park Attractions Alligator Island: Located in the northern section of Gatorland's "Gator Lake" and home to the largest reptiles in the park, Alligator Island is the best place to see Gatorland's largest alligators & crocodiles up close and personal as they soak up the Florida sun.
Breeding Marsh & Bird Rookery: Created in 1991 as a natural breeding area for Gatorland's gators, the 10-acre Breeding Marsh contains 130 adult alligators.
Jungle Crocs: Enter if you dare the realm of Jungle Crocs, home to some of the largest and most dangerous crocodiles on the planet! Hear the tale of the intrepid adventurer Owen Godwin as he scoured the world over for the "baddest" crocs in the land.
Swamp Walk: Located at the southern end of the park, Swamp Walk is a self-guided tour on a raised wooden walkway, which snakes through the Cypress trees.
Flamingo Lagoon: Just across from the Very Merry Aviary and Allie's Barnyard is Flamingo Lagoon, home to a small colony of American Flamingos.
Allie's Barnyard: Drop by Allie's Barnyard and say hello to some of the cute and cuddly barnyard critters that call Gatorland home. Find Dolly Llama, a real sweetheart with a bucktooth grin who just loves having her picture taken. Say hello to Gracie, a friendly goat who just loves to eat from your hand.
Very Merry Aviary: Visit the home of our colorful and friendly Lorikeets, brightly colored parrots, native to the Western Pacific and East Indies area.
Snakes of Florida: Florida is home to many different varieties of snakes, most of which are completely harmless to humans.
Gator Gully Splash Park: Journey through this natural, low-tech adventure.
Park Shows The Gator Jumparoo ShowThrills and chills abound as some of the largest alligators in the world actually jump four to five feet out of the water to retrieve food in this famous one-of-a-kind show. Showtimes: 11:45 AM, 2:30 PM & 4:30 PM.
Gator Wrestlin'See our unique alligator wrestling show done "Florida Cracker" style in a shaded 800-seat stadium. Gator wranglers catch a 6 to 8 foot alligator by hand and climb onto the snapping animal's back to point out survival features to the audience. Showtimes: 10:00 AM, 12:45 PM & 3:45 PM.
Upclose Encounters ShowMeet fascinating creatures from around the globe as well as Florida's native wildlife - including some of the most dangerous snakes alive. Showtimes: 11:00 AM, 1:45 PM & 3:00 PM.
Critters On The GoCheck out these interactive animal encounters, where you and the little ones can oohh and aahh at some of the park's cute and cuddly critters! Currently these encounters are done on the move so keep your eyes peeled Vera, Gabe and the gang, as you stroll through the park.
